Purpose in Everything

I had initially shared a reflection on this verse though the story of The Four Ladies under the Baobab tree. Because I did indeed think of this verse in relation to that event. But the truth is there is hardly a day that goes by when I’m not reminded in some way or another of how purposefully Allah created us.

We go through life thinking things are random. But Allah has created everything with a purpose. Every person. Every animal. Every leaf. Every grain of sand. Every interaction. Everything.

ٱلَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ قِيَـٰمًۭا وَقُعُودًۭا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَـٰذَا بَـٰطِلًۭا سُبْحَـٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ١٩١

˹They are˺ those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth ˹and pray˺, “Our Lord! You have not created ˹all of˺ this without purpose. Glory be to You! Protect us from the torment of the Fire.
